Ooh, I get the crickets, too, and frogs. I don't know if the latter are trying to mate or just sing a few rounds of 100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall. Either way, it makes me want to fry a few and see if they really taste like chicken.

The people behind me also have a burglar alarm that goes off once a month in the middle of the night. The alarm doesnt' just sound a siren; it talks. It says something like, "Please stay where you are. The police have been called," over and over again. Funny thing is, the police never show, and I'm pretty sure a burglar isn't going to be like, "Wow, the alarm was nice. I guess I'll sit here and wait to be arrested."

I think that's somewhere in the Constitution: Always buy a new bubbler. But seriously, I hate chirping/beeping noise, too. My problem is that it's usually coming from birds or crickets just outside the window and no amount of repositioning helps.
