I had AAA for about 8 years or so, and never once had to use it. When I lost my job, I decided not to renew in order to save money. Because I did that, they went up $30 on the yearly price. (I had it locked in at $45 but now it's somewhere around $70 or $80/year. Yikes.) So that's going to have to wait I guess until I make enough money to get it back, or they call with a lower price.

Have you ever locked your keys in the car with the car running? I did that in the rain at my old job. Don't ask me how or why. Maybe I didn't have enough caffeine that morning. IDK. It took two sheriffs deputies about an hour to unlock it with one of those slim jim things. I would have laughed if it had happened to someone other than me. I laugh now, but at the time I was way too embarrassed to.

I've always had old cars and they were always breaking down so I've been a member of AAA for years. It's worth it. Especially since I can guarantee that I will lock myself out of my car at least twice every year. Once I locked TWO sets of keys in my car at the same time! And of course my car will always need towing/and or a battery charge about 3 times a year also.

Me, too, and I hope it's something I, not a mechanic, can fix. Just poured some coolant in there.Going to get a shower and drive it around with the ac on full blast to see if it's good now.

You know what I realized last night? The tow might have dislodged the air bubble so I could have just poured that coolant in yesterday without all the bubbling stuff. Last time I listen to my father.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that it's cooling. I don't want to spend another whole day dealing with that thing.

OMG, what a rough day. But I have to admit, I laughed at the advice to just keep pouring water into the radiator and after all that ... You'll have to call your nana!

The tears of laughter are still rolling so all I'll say for now are - Hope you get your car fixed.
