I spent most of last week working on it. I redrew it so many times in my sketch pad that I nearly rubbed a hole in the paper with my eraser. I then scanned it into the computer and spent even more hours redrawing it in Corel Painter, Photoshop Elements, and Paint.net. Late Saturday night I finally finished it and installed it for him around 2:30 a.m. Here is what the header portion of the site looked like Saturday night:

Last night Chandler finally managed to tear himself away from his new pet rabbit to look at it. This is how our phone conversation went:
Chandler: "I thought you were going to draw a T-shirt."
Me: "I did."
Chandler: "But it's red."
Me: "Yeah. Last time I checked your favorite color was red."
Chandler: "But I thought you were going to draw a white T-shirt."
Me: "You never told me the first thing about a white T-shirt. You were too busy telling me how many toes and fingers General Grievous has. What's wrong with the red one?"
Chandler: "Well, it really doesn't look all that good."
That's right. I didn't get a "Thank you for all the work, Staci." I didn't get a "Thanks for wasting an entire week, Staci." I didn't even get an "Oooh, I like it" or a "Happy Easter, Staci." I got a "It really doesn't look all that good." I love feeling appreciated, especially on a holiday.
So this is what the site looks like this morning:
Obviously, I redrew the shirt. Chandler hasn't looked at it yet so I'm sure that when he does he will still find something wrong with it. My guess is the first thing he'll complain about is the gray shading on the shirt. The second will be the fact that I went with the beige General Grievous and not the white one. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the character, his action figure comes in both colors:
Chandler has the beige one, and beige is easier to work with than white so I went with beige. I used the same logic for choosing a red shirt, and you see how well that turned out. I'm sure that he'll be asking me to redraw General Grievous by day's end. I won't do it though. One week and one redo is all he is going to get.
