Trying to Get Used to My New Mouse Pen

Speaking of job opportunities, my mom and grandmother got me the mouse pen and touch pad that I had been wanting for my birthday. I'm still trying to get used to using the mouse pen, which is basically an overgrown stylus, and watch all the Corel Painter tutorials--it has way more bells and whistles than Paint.net--but I'm hoping that, within the next week or two, I can churn out a few original Blogger designs and get a design site up and running. The mouse pen is a lot better than a regular mouse, but it's still harder to use than a normal pen or pencil. Instinctively, you want to look down at the pad you're drawing on, but, of course, that won't do you any good, as the image shows up on your computer screen, not on the pad. Like I said in my "Bit by the Design Bug" post, it's going to take a little trial and error to get the hang of it.

I'm also trying to decide where to put the site, here on Blogger or on a paid host like HostGator or GoDaddy, the only two reputable sites that allow you to pay by the month. I found a couple of other sites that will let you, but they didn't get good reviews. I'd rather pay a little more and know that I'm not getting swindled. If I want to eventually venture into Wordpress or B2Evolution designs, the paid host might be the better choice, but I just can't decide if I want to do that now or wait. I can see myself getting so caught up in figuring out Wordpress that I don't get any designs done, Blogger, Wordpress, or otherwise. If I went with HostGator or GoDaddy, I'd also have to shell out money for my own domain name, which is an additional expenditure that I'd have to consider. If I went with GoDaddy, I could get the domain name for $1.99. If I went with HostGator, I could get the domain name for the same price from Yahoo and transfer it when the 60 days is up. I've heard that's more than a little complicated when it comes to Yahoo, but maybe I'd be one of the lucky ones who was able to transfer her domain name incident-free.

Knowing me, I'll probably just stress myself over all the choices, give up trying to decide which host will benefit me the most in the long run, and just stay where I am because it's what I know. Why do you think I stayed in a job that sucked the life out of me for over four years? It was what I knew. Either way, at least I can say I'm giving it a shot. If it doesn't work, I can always work at Walmart.
