I had another last minute showing of my house today. I was a little perturbed that the realtor was only wanting to give me thirty minutes to get out of the house, especially considering that I wasn't dressed yet, Bailey had urinated in the front bedroom, I had dirty dishes in the sink, and my bed wasn't made. However, my realtor was able to negotiate an extra thirty minutes. Thank God. I still barely made it out of the house in time, and I had to shove the dirty dishes in the oven. The realtor called my realtor afterwards and said that her clients really liked my house but that they wanted to see one more house first. Like I said in the title of this post, I have my fingers and toes crossed that what she said means that, after nine months on the market, someone is finally about to make an offer on my home. I know that I'm probably jinxing it by writing this post. With my luck, the realtor's clients will fall in love with the next house they were going to, as opposed to just really liking mine. Still the possibility of an offer is the only thing that I can really think about at the moment. Seriously, the Grave Danger episode of CSI where Nick gets kidnapped is on, and I have barely paid attention to it, that's how wound up I am.
I'll give them a few days. If my realtor hasn't heard anything back by Wednesday at the latest, I'm filling out the "We Buy Ugly Houses" form again. Back in April, the guy from Home Vestors said he couldn't offer me more than $75,000. I laughed at the offer then, as I was asking $119,900 at the time. Now that I've lowered the house to that price range and accepted the fact that the only way this house is going to sell is if I do a short sale, I'd gladly take that offer. I'm just scared that the offer will now be cut in half to $30,000 grand or so. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Chase and HUD won't accept that low of a price, not when I still owe around $100,000.
Please everyone cross your fingers, pray, think good thoughts, or send some positive mojo my way because I really need this place to sell.
