Some days I think that I should rename this blog "Just Procrastinating." Take today, for instance. I decided to switch out purses before I went to the grocery store at lunch. While moving the contents of my red Tommy Hilfiger to the blue Liz Claiborne, I picked up a large handful of receipts and suddenly remembered that I still had not entered those and other receipts into Microsoft Money. Then I remembered that I have not entered any receipts--check, debit card, or otherwise--since the week before Christmas. Granted I was out of town for three weeks and thus had no access to my Money files during that time, but that absence in no way excuses my failure to enter the receipts since returning home. My only explanation, as opposed to excuse, is that I have simply been procrastinating. I figured that as long as my online bank statement was okay and up to date, I could keep putting off stubbing Microsoft Money until tomorrow. Now tomorrow is February 1st, and I have a month and a half worth of stubs to do. Oh, boy. I can't wait to wake up and do that! Then I get to file and shred all those receipts, plus go through the ever-growing pile of junk mail, when I'm done. Even better. In fact, I'm doing my happy dance right now to celebrate. "Just Procrastinating." Yeah, it's way more accurate than "Just Bloggled."
