Sometimes I wonder what, if anything, goes on inside my cocker spaniel's head. I'm sitting here, trying to understand what the heck is going on with this whole time travel thing on Lost and why the Others' Richard is wearing all that black eyeliner, but I keep getting distracted by the growling fur ball at my feet. Obviously, Bella can't appreciate how complicated the storyline is or she wouldn't have picked the last few minutes of the show to start growling. I thought she wanted her bone at first. Usually, if the bone is an inch from her, she'll cry until I give it to her. She won't just get up or crane her neck and get it herself. However, I've given her the bone, and she still hasn't stopped growling. That leaves only one other thing that it could be--the plug to my heated throw. It has been on the floor all day. I don't know why she picked now to be scared of it, but she has.Maybe I can find an answer to that question and a solution to Bella's chronic hot spots at PetWave.com. PetWave.com has a plethora of useful Pet Information that combines the knowledge of licensed vets, breeders, trainers, and nutritionists with the experience of pet owners like you and me. In the site's health center, for instance, you can read numerous articles about health conditions that may affect your pet and how to spot the warning signs of those conditions. In the behavior center, you can find recommendations on pet training products, as well as articles discussing common pet misbehavior. (I see there is an entire section on fear. I'm going to have to bookmark that page!) In the community center, meanwhile, you can discuss your pets and their health concerns with other members of the site. If you're someone who is liable to forget your own birthday, you can even sign up for PetWave.com's reminder service that will email you when your pet's shots are due.
Okay, Bella has finally stopped growling and run downstairs. The latter behavior probably means that she has done something in other bedroom that she's not supposed to. Oh, joy. Now I get to spend quality time with my Bissell ProHeat tomorrow. I can't wait...Sorry, I was choking on the sarcasm. I'm also taking a quick look at PetWave.com's article on fear. It says that, in order to get Bella to conquer her fears, I have to help her find a way to enjoy the things that she fears. Uh, how do I get her to enjoy an electrical plug without getting us both electrocuted? Yeah, I don't know the answer to that question either. I guess the article's author has never met a dog quite like Bella. I'll give my dog one thing; she is unique--a scaredy cat in cocker spaniel clothing--but unique nonetheless.
