Okay, so it's not just Craigslist. I was about to go to sleep, but I decided to look at my law school's career services web site first. I had planned on adding any potential job leads to "My Favorites" and revisiting them in the morning. Well, it looks like "them" is only one.As with the Craigslist listings, there isn't a whole lot to choose from. For the first time since I graduated from law school seven years ago, my law school only has two pages of job postings online . Usually, they have anywhere from six to eight pages. A third of those postings are internships or fellowships for students. Another third of those are in a different part of the United States or outside the U.S. all together. Of the third that's left, maybe only five postings are for entry level positions. Two of those five require letters of recommendations, something Judge Combover and the rest of the Honorable Good Ol' Boys will never give me. That leaves me with three to choose from, and only one that's a real maybe. That fact is entirely depressing.
I knew I should have just gone to bed.
