Yard Sale Workouts

I think that every muscle in my body hurts right now. I feel like I have run the Boston Marathon or spent a couple of hours on the elliptical machine out in the garage, but the only thing that I have done to get this sore is help my mother with her yard sale this morning. We spent most of last night sorting and pricing and got at most three hours of sleep. What do we have to show for it? Aching muscles, stuffy noses from all the dust that had accumulated on the junk in the garage, and a whopping $65 profit. I'm starting to think that yard sales aren't even worth it anymore. You see episodes of shows like Clean House and Clean Sweep where people make $1000 to $3000 at a yard sale, and suddenly you're delusional enough to think that you might make enough to buy a Wii or even all of Christmas. In the end you make just enough to buy lunch and maybe dinner. What's the point?

In case it's not too early to make a New Year's resolution, here's mine: stop volunteering to help with family yard sales or get my underused yard sale muscles in shape pronto. Oh, and buy a flower to tuck behind my ear so I can summon my inner Niecey Nash.
