I don't know how I'm going to pay either the bill or for the seminars. My mother has run out of money until payday, and I'm broke as well. If I drive on a suspended license and get caught, I'll have to spend at least 30 days in jail, not to mention have to go in front of my former boss, Judge Combover. After I get out of jail, I will most likely be disbarred. The Georgia Bar frowns on attorneys with criminal records. If I don't drive, I'll have to learn to walk to the grocery store and Walmart, and Petsmart becomes completely out of the question. Plus, it will cost me several hundred dollars to get my license back.
As for my law license, losing it doesn't bother me as much as losing my driver's license. It's not like I'm using the law license or the law degree at the moment. Jobwise, neither seems to be worth the paper it is printed on. Nevertheless, I'm going to be paying off the student loans that helped pay for the degree for the rest of my life. It would be nice to at least point at the piece of paper on the wall and say, "See what a $200,000 education got me--a nice piece of paper and not much else." Otherwise, I can only point at my head and say that it bought me a nice, fat headache.
I just wonder what other expenses will pop up in the next few weeks. I'm sure there will be something. There always is.
