Or are they? I'm talking about General Hospital's Jason and Claudia. I'm unspoiled insofar as this storyline goes, but honestly I should have seen it coming. First, everyone knows that Sarah Brown and Steve Burton have great chemistry together. They did back when Sarah was Carly #1 and Jason was just her "boy on the side." They do now as arch mob rivals. Sure, they fight a lot, but anyone who has ever watched a soap opera knows that those who fight the most end up being the biggest soap couples later. The fighting is pretty much considered foreplay. Second, Jason has already done this whole "marry someone to save Sonny" storyline before. Uh, remember his marriage to Brenda Barrett? That's the whole reason Spinelli now sleeps in a regrettably pink bedroom, that and he and Jason seem to be incapable of buying a can of paint.Now I know that I'm going to anger a lot of Liason fans out there by saying the following, but I don't entirely mind the idea of Jason and Claudia together. Maybe it's because I still think of Claudia as Carly with brown hair, or maybe it's because I'm so tired of the "we love each other, but we can't be together" dance that Jason and Elizabeth keep doing. In my opinion, the latter is just getting old. Either way, I actually think that Jason and Claudia could be good for each other. Claudia doesn't mind that Jason is in the mob because she was born into it herself, and Jason doesn't really seem to mind Claudia's constant meddling. If he did, he would have stopped listening to her or letting her in his office and apartment a long time ago. Plus, assuming TPTB ever do anything with the hints that they've dropped about what Anthony did to Claudia as a child--I think he was supposed to have molested her--I think Jason, because of what happened to Elizabeth years ago, will be the best person for her to talk to. Heck, maybe he'll even go after Anthony for it, although I have a feeling that, in the end, it will probably be Johnny who goes after Anthony instead.
I do have one question though. If Claudia and Jason do go through with this wedding, will Claudia get custody of the regrettably pink bedroom and Spinelli have to move to the maid's room downstairs?
