I think Mother Nature took some cheat tabs a couple of weeks ago, and instead of losing weight, she lost fall instead. Seriously, where did autumn go? Two weeks ago, Atlanta had highs in the 80's. Now we are having intermittent freeze warnings. We're supposed to have another freeze warning tonight. I've had to turn on the heater and put the electric blanket on the bed. It's not snowing or anything that drastic yet, but I don't deal well with cold weather. I freeze the minute the thermometer drops below 70 degrees; hence, the electric blanket.Of course, the drier indoor air is reeking havoc on my and the dogs' skin. I've noticed that Bailey is gnawing at his back more lately, which means that the dreaded doggy dandruff that blankets everything I own in winter is only a few days away. My face, meanwhile, is both broken out and parched. I'm not sure how you can have dry skin and acne simultaneously, but I do. The benzyl peroxide is only making my skin drier and the wrinkles more pronounced. I guess that means that I'm going to have to dig the humidifier out of the garage tonight and clean it with the white vinegar that I bought at the Dollar Tree last week. At least the vinegar will cover up the smell of copper that is currently in the air. Hopefully, if I increase the moisture in the air, my skin will stop being broken out and dry and just be broken out, and Bailey's doggy dandruff will only blanket half of everything I own.
In the meantime, I'm going to cross my fingers that the wind doesn't blow the baby birds that I was talking about last week out of the nest. Like I said before, I really don't want to bottle feed them or, even worse, make them worm smoothies. I'd probably have to give them my electric blanket, too, to keep them warm, and then I wouldn't be warm, and that would be bad.
Is it too late to take the Florida bar? Warm, sunny Miami is looking better and better.
