Note to Self: Don't Forget the Robo Bug

Thinking about what to buy my mom for Christmas this year made me remember that my nephew Chandler saw this robotic bug that he wanted at Rose's back in August. I told him to remind me about it closer to Christmas, but I doubt that he will remember to do so. He'll be too busy dropping hints about a Nintendo Wii this time next month. Yeah, like I will able to afford a Nintendo Wii unless something major happens job-wise between now and Christmas.

Last Christmas, Chandler's father got him some type of remote-control operated helicopter for Christmas. I don't know if it was one of those rc helicopters that you see on TV all the time or some other brand; all I know is that it could fly, or at least it could until Chandler's cousin, Madison, got a hold of it. Apparently, Madison flew it into their grandfather's fireplace about five minutes after Chandler opened it so, of course, Chandler came home crying. Robert promised to take it back to Wal-mart and exchange it for an unbroken one, but by the time he did all the other helicopters were gone.I thought about getting Chandler a new one for Christmas, but he seemed to like the robotic bug better than the helicopter that was further down the shelf when we were at Rose's. It may be because he's starting to like science more than he used to. He still brags about getting the award for most improved in science last year, and he loves Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel. Thus, if he wants the robo bug, I'll get him the robo bug. Now I just hope that darn bug is still there when I go back, and he doesn't walk it into the pool Christmas morning.
